Harwich’s most hilariously irreverent tradition is back — the Harwich Guy Carnival 2025 is set to fill the streets with mockery, mayhem, and those iconic Big Heads! 🧠🎉
This unique night-time parade mixes satirical humour, giant papier-mâché caricatures, and creative community-built floats for an unforgettable street carnival through the heart of Harwich.
The Guy Carnival Procession will start on the Main Road at the top of Ainger Road, will continue along the Main Road, through Dovercourt Town Centre to West Street in Harwich. Temporary rolling road closures will be in place while the procession proceeds.
Expect:
- 😆 The famous Big Heads – giant papier-mâché heads (Available to hire)
- 🎡 Humorous floats poking fun at politics, pop culture & local news
- 🥁 Marching bands and community performers
- 👪 Family-friendly fun (with cheeky edge)
