In partnership with Indian dancer and multi-disciplinary artist Jaymini Bedia, and supported by Essex County Council's Art and Cultural Fund, this project will deliver a series of informative talks, creative workshops and cabaret-style evenings which challenge exclusion, break down cultural stereotypes, nurture skills and bring joy. Importantly, Chai Mixers has cultural unity and respect at its heart. Why Chai? The national drink of both England and India is Chai (tea). It is also a symbol of identity and cultural unity across all walks of life. Drinking chai is synonymous with comforting people, building relationships and opening conversations. This project is a joyful journey to facilitate dialogues of challenging topics, share skills across generations and support community cohesion.
