Thames Sailing Barge May
SB May is berthed at St. Osyth Boatyard. This Thames Sailing Barge was built in Harwich over 130 years ago, and is the last remaining Thames Sailing Barge that has never been de-rigged. Managed by the Bread and Roses CIC which is a female led charity supporting women who have experienced trauma in their lives. Below deck it is ‘atmospheric, beautiful’ and ‘rich in history’. As a wooden vessel, the acoustics are brilliant. With room for up to 60 guests, as a live music venue it has a Sofar Sounds feel with a friendly, intimate vibe.
